The Pink Palace St Lucia
February 2016 saw the commencement of demolition works of the
iconic 1980s Pink Palace at St Lucia. The infamous property, built
by Brisbane builder Noel Kratzmann featured a two-storey mansion, a
large in ground pool, a guest house and a 'winter' house. The
property had fallen into disrepair and was purchased by a developer
in late 2015. Abyss Demolition was commissioned to skilfully
demolish the buildings to make way for a 14 block luxury
residential development.
This project involved the use of a combination of manual and
mechanical demolition methods, as well as the removal of asbestos
materials identified during demolition according to strict
Workplace Health and Safety guidelines. Abyss Demolition is proud
to be part of the transformation of this iconic Brisbane
site.
